Gargnäs – the village between sky and water. A nature beauty located ca. 45 km south east from Sorsele.

Here, close to a small heart shaped lake we'd like to accommodate our guests in our small private hotel starting in June 2010.

The area around Gargnäs offers a lot of possibilities for excursions and activities, in summes as well as in winter.

Nature to enjoy
The rivers Laisälven and Vindelälven are known for the exceptional possibilities for fishing.
Next to them there are hundrets of smaller rivers and streams as well as lakes in every size to discover.
Who just would like to enjoy the nature calm in peace can hike through the endless forests, plan an excursion on bike in the nearer or farer area or just start paddling with a canoe.
In winter time there is nothing more relaxing than to slide by dog sledge through the deeply snow-covered nature.
Also a ride on the snow scooter over frozen rivers and lakes has its own charm.
And later a visit in the sauna or an evening bath in the open air in a big heated wooden bathing vat - another unvorgettable experience!

The Sami culture
Not far away from Gargnäs you'll have the possibility to visit the Sami and know more about their culture and reindeers. You'll see reindeers, can try lassoing and eat some Sami speciaties.
